Deadly nightshade, or belladonna, is a poisonous perennial herb in the nightshade family. The poisonous compounds in deadly nightshade—atropine, scopolamine, and hyoscyamine—block the nervous system chemical acetylcholine. Poisoning can cause, light sensitivity, blurred vision, fast heartbeat, dizziness and unsteady walking, headache, slurred speech, confusion, hallucinations, delirium, and seizures etc.
