Cass Graybeal Brown is a full time tattoo artist and illustrator. She is currently based in Tumwater, WA. Her passion for art started young, fostered by an incredible mother and grandmother who always made it a priority as they moved from naval base to naval base across the world. The many houses they lived in were always filled with technicolor light reflected through stained glass her tiny British grandmother painstakingly assembled and holidays were always accented with intricate masterpiece cakes and complex cards created by a mother who always found a way to inject magic into the mundane.

This is possibly why her artistic eye zeroed in on natural science illustration while at the Savannah College of Art and Design. While in school her "Python" painting won third in SCAD's Invasive Species Exhibition and "Grafted Heart" was published in the 2017 Illustration Anthology. As a sophomore she was accepted to participate in an upperclassmen design collaboration between SCAD and BMW's design team. Completing a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Scientific Illustration, she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2017. After graduating she was hired on at Northern Virginia Graphics, a small patent and trademark illustration firm in the DC metro area where she continues to work even as she cultivates a freelance career focused on the fight against climate change and for preservation.
